| The
Temporary Flood Defence GL System has been carefully designed to address the many
operational difficulties that users may at some time encounter. Although no temporary
System of this type on the market can ever offer a completely failsafe flood defence
solution, at least it is incumbent on the supplier to provide the best range of
benefits possible. The Temporary Flood Defence GL System has been checked by independent
consulting engineers and features the following benefits.- Self-spacing
modular design - modules are emplaced sequentially along the flood defence line,
with no subsequent requirement to re-adjust on site
- Single flood panel
design - multiple beam or module elements are avoided
- Once assembled,
the System cannot be dislodged by accidental impact, either from the front or
rear of the system
- Membrane-free design - once the system is in place,
there is no requirement for additional cumbersome membranes allowing additional
benefits during emplacement in high winds
- Triple seal design
- The
System can be handled manually up to its full design height of 1.8 metres
- High-grip
base support modules - resistance to sliding is considered imperative for any
free-standing temporary system - the GL System is supplied as standard with a
high-grip base, and, uniquely, with options for alternative base construction
to optimise grip on a range of existing surface substrates
- Complete manufacture
to ISO quality system requirements, with fully certified and traceable materials
throughout, including seal materials
Longitudinal
continuity is provided module-to-module- Space-saving storage
- Any
specific flood defence height between 500mm to 1800mm can be accommodated
- High
quality construction of galvanised steel and aluminium alloy provides a long service
life with minimal maintenance
- The System takes up variations in line on
plan, and allows for changes in level on site
- On-going technical support
and assistance
- Options for special finishes
